Isoxaflutole is a Systemic herbicide, rapidly taken up by the roots and foliage, translocates throughout the plant and rapidly convert to diketonitrile (DKN), which is an inhibitor of the enzyme p-hydroxy phenyl pyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD).
